Junior Geologist

CSS is seeking a full-time Junior Geologist to support our environmental team serving the USACE and NAVFAC. This work involves environmental compliance tasks for the federal government including but not limited to: POL management, PFAS compliance, UST/AST compliance, pollution prevention, hazwaste management, RCRA/CERCLA, and water quality compliance.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Junior Geologist: $45,000-$70,000 per year. Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Junior Geologist Responsibilities Include:

Provide technical support for the following activities:

• Preparation of various technical reports
• AST/UST inspections
• Soil and groundwater assessments
• PFAS assessment, remediation, and compliance
• RCRA/CERCLA investigations
• Water Quality compliance
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  
  

Junior Geologist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in geology or engineering. Preference may be given to candidates with 1-5 years of directly applicable experience.
• Preference may be given to candidate with AST and/or UST compliance experience.
• Preference may be given to candidate with GIS experience.
• Experience working at Federal installations.
• Soil and groundwater investigations.
• RCRA/CERCLA remedial investigations.
• PFAS assessment, remediation, and compliance.
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage time and project resources.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel, other applicable database, and office automation products, to include Adobe Pro.
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally in writing (to include technical documentation). Must have excellent customer service.
• Ability to work in a remote environment under a variety of weather conditions as needed.
