A proprietary trading firm in Chicago (and open to candidates in NY) is seeking a Junior Trader in the MFT/HFT futures space. They have an extensive track record of success across multiple asset classes and are looking for someone that can bring new perspective to the table while expanding into new arenas. The firm can offer a very collaborative/open floor approach, exceptional technology, and highly competitive compensation packages.
What you will do:
Collaborate with other traders, researchers, and developers to create new HFT futures strategies
Analyze and optimize existing strategies
Work with engineering team to find ways to improve infrastructure
Create new opportunities to take advantage of market conditions
What they are looking for:
6 months to 3 years working on a futures trading desk (ideally intraday or HFT strategies)
B.S.+ in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or similar quant field
Strong programming skills with Python and/or C++
Ability to take ownership over work and launching new initiatives
