Junior Financial Analyst (recent grads)

Overview: We from Russell Tobin, on behalf of our client in the banking and financial industry, are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial/Operations Analyst. This role is perfect for recent graduates looking to start their career in finance and gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, operations, reporting, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Support: Assist in managing daily financial operations and ensure all processes are carried out smoothly and efficiently.
• Transaction Processing: Support the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Data Management: Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Compliance: Ensure financial practices comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with different departments to gather information and provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Documentation: Maintain and update financial records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Client Support: Assist in responding to client inquiries and resolving issues related to financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous industry internship or work experience in financial operations, accounting, or a related field is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Familiarity with financial software and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar) is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
