Job Summary

The Junior Equity Trader will be responsible for managing day-to-day trading activities under the supervision of senior traders. This role involves executing trades efficiently, monitoring market trends, and helping develop strategies to maximize trading profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the financial markets and a keen analytical mind.

Responsibilities

  • Execute buy and sell orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor financial news and market trends to stay updated on factors that can impact equity prices.
  • Analyze market conditions to identify trading opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with the research team to understand market dynamics and trading strategies.
  • Maintain detailed records of trading activities and report on trading performance and market conditions.
  • Use trading platforms and tools proficiently to manage trades and portfolios.
  • Develop a deep understanding of financial instruments, market conditions, and trading techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards associated with trading activities.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuously seek to expand professional trading knowledge and skills.
  • Provide support to senior traders in the development and implementation of trading strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in equity trading or a related financial field.
  • Strong numerical and financial analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with trading platforms and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Quick decision-making abilities.
  • Proactive learning and problem-solving mindset.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced and changing market environments.
