We are an aspirational brand with a big mission: to be the #1 resource to find a behavioral health treatment provider. In order to achieve that goal we need to successfully communicate our brand and value proposition visually. We are looking for a highly creative Junior Designer to join our team and help design, produce and deliver high quality creative and marketing materials to help us do that.

Work Location

This is a Madison-based role. To be effective in this role, we would like you to work in our office in Madison on average 3 times per week.

How you know you're being successful

  • You are producing work that drives engagement on social platforms, the recovery.com resource library and other mediums.
  • You execute design concepts and layout projects from concept to finished product efficiently and effectively
  • You collaborate with other team members and ensure all projects are completed accurately and on time
  • You work effectively with the Recovery media team to execute media production for podcast, social media and other media efforts

We’ll Expect You To Do Things Like These

  • Create graphics, short form video, and other content formats for social media and the recovery.com resource library
  • Create converting display and video ads
  • Develop and maintain company aesthetic, branding guidelines and style guides
  • Support our rebranding efforts including updating our look and feel across marketing materials
  • Short and long form video/audio storytelling
  • Support podcast production, content creation from podcast (clips, audio, graphics, etc.) and other recovery media efforts
  • Innovative and creative visual storytelling

Required Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design and social media content production
  • Experience with design software (i.e. Figma, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere.)
  • Experience with video editing and production
  • Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and layout
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high output, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comprehensive portfolio reflecting diversity of design experience, style, and technique

What We Think Will Improve Your Chances Of Success

  • Understanding of layout, aesthetics, and basic design principles
  • The ability to collaborate and translate design needs from multiple departments
  • Experience in creating compelling content for social media platforms
  • Experience building infographics and other illustrated graphics

Travel Expectations

This role will be required to attend bi-annual company retreats. The goal of these retreats is to learn about the organization and to build connections across departments and with remote team members.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $50k - $65k, plus eligible benefits and equity options. Compensation may be adjusted based on tenure and experience.

Dane County Housing Stipend

We strongly value in-person work and collaboration, so for full-time employees residing in Dane County, we offer a housing stipend of $689/month in addition to your salary ($8,268/yr; half of the Fair Market Value of a 2BR apartment in Madison according to rentdata.org).

Company Bonus Program

An additional 10% of base earnings paid out quarterly when the company meets its revenue target.

Equity Options

In addition to your cash compensation, you will receive options to buy stock in Recover.com at a set strike price. These options will vest on a four-year schedule and present an exciting opportunity to benefit from the upside of our company's growth.

Estimated First Year Compensation: $63,268 - $79,768 (inclusive of Dane County Stipend and Company Bonus Program)
