Description
Spatial Front provides IT solutions to federal, state, and local governments and the private sector. We are looking for a Junior Systems Analyst to join our team supporting our customer, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This is a remote full-time position.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration Office of Operations (OO) Office of Enterprise Management Services (OEMS) Division of Information Governance (DIG) is focused on the strategy and governance of information. This project will focus on providing support for the DIG Privacy mission and its associated programs. Resources will be tasked with developing, maintaining, and enhancing existing and future DIG objectives, programs, and support. Specifically, the team will be working with information related to Privacy initiatives and the Privacy PowerApps platform.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration Office of Operations (OO) Office of Enterprise Management Services (OEMS) Division of Information Governance (DIG) is focused on the strategy and governance of information. This project will focus on providing support for the DIG Privacy mission and its associated programs. Resources will be tasked with developing, maintaining, and enhancing existing and future DIG objectives, programs, and support. Specifically, the team will be working with information related to Privacy initiatives and the Privacy PowerApps platform.
- Process Project/Product requests for FDA Centers and assist with approving hardware/software purchases or approving upcoming projects.
- Help the Privacy team assess and address ServiceNow tickets to determine whether Privacy requirements are met.
- Work with the FDA leads to determining if Privacy actions need to be in place on a per-project, hardware, or software basis.
- Work with the FDA Privacy Portal team to teach new customers how to use the Privacy PowerApps portal.
- Work through Privacy requests made directly on the Privacy Portal.
- Submit Privacy request data to the Archer system for approval.
- Review Privacy PIAs to ensure they meet the US Department of Human Health and Services (HHS) Guidelines.
- Gather requirements for changes/upgrades to the Privacy Portal from key stakeholders and end users.
- Gather requirements for process changes to streamline the Privacy ticket experience.
- Assist FDA Privacy leads with preparing Privacy PIAs for final review and completion.
- Take meeting minutes and generate bi-weekly status reports.
- Update internal master document spreadsheets daily.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to work with government IT systems, with experience in software development, data collection/processing, spreadsheet/report creation, and social media analytics.
- Strong Communication: Excellent critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Work Ethic and Organization: Demonstrated strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proactive Problem-Solver: Inclined to ask questions, identify process improvements, and actively contribute to enhancing efficiency.
- Government Privacy Experience: Familiarity with government privacy work and knowledge of NIST security/privacy controls.
- AI Expertise: Experience working with AI technologies and applications.
- Modernization Experience: Proven ability to modernize legacy systems and processes, transitioning them to modern architectures and solutions.
- To meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
- All candidates will be subject to a complete background check to include, but are not limited to Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Verification of Previous Employment, and Credit History.
- Public Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and require fingerprinting.
- The salary for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 annually
