Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for a Journeyman Training Specialist to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) – Increment 1 (INC1) program. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists with overseeing the entire process of delivering innovative, effective, and relevant training.
  • Ensures development and on-time submission of deliverables, such as traiing plans, test result reports, and platforms.
  • Develops and delivers training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees and Army AGUN system maintainers and operators.
  • Leverages a combination of technical expertise, instructional design skills, and the ability to engage and inspire learners to train end-users on Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of deployed systems.
  • Develops training materials, Programs of Instruction (POI), and provides training on new systems.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for New Equipment Training (NET) and is involved in curriculum development, instruction delivery, student assessment, program evaluation, and instructor professional development.
  • Collaborates with Logistics & Training Lead to review past training, plan future training, and exchange timely information for efficient resource synchronization.
  • Communicates with the Program Management Office (PMO) and other task leads to coordinate training-related requirements.
  • Schedules monthly technical meetings to promote maintainer and operator training and foster a community of interest for AGUN staff to participate in.
  • Executes the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process for AGUN, including various training methods, and conduct routine collaboration to identify requirements and constraints.
  • Analyzes test results and student feedback for continuous improvement of training products, programs, and platforms.
  • Coordinates training planning, development, and implementation.
  • Executes the agile and adaptable ADDIE process designed for AGUN and its training-related requirements, including classroom and on-the-job training, demonstrations, exercises, operational systems training, and mission training.
  • Conducts routine internal and customer collaboration to identify requirements and constraints, analyzes training needs, documents environment and other special operating considerations, and designs and develops scalable training solutions.
  • Develops high-level design concepts and storyboards to support design of training courses, materials, and platforms as necessary.
  • Develops training materials to include course syllabus, student workbooks, consumables, lecture materials to perform training etc.
  • The trainer also enables appropriate system interfaces, and coordinates with software development team members and engineers to ensure training platforms are developed or modified to achieve training objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience or a Masters and 3+ years of related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Agile framework.
  • US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working within Army’s IT infrastructure.
  • Secret security clearance.

Pay Range

Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
