Tech Firefly is partnering with a leading HRIS company to hire a Java Backend Developer. If you have experience in Java development and are looking for new opportunities, we encourage you to apply!

This is a long term contract position

Location: Pasadena, CA (Hybrid on-site)

Pay Range: $55-65/hour on W2

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization


Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Java development
  • Experience with Spring Boot framework
  • Knowledge of SQL and database design principles
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
