As Marketing Director your role will be to develop and deliver all marketing strategies for one of our most prominent and visible brands: ITC Vegas, the flagship event of the InsureTech Connect portfolio. Drive the event experience in line with overall brand strategies, goals and customer need while managing the marketing budgets to set objectives. Main responsibilities include:
Responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company and event objectives
Evaluate customer behaviors, feedback and other relevant qualitative and quantitative data to implement marketing plan alterations as needed
Develop audience acquisition and engagement strategy
Lead day-to-day marketing efforts in strategy and execution with marketing team while partnering with internal and external support teams and vendors
Oversees all brand marketing staff and related vendor relationships

How you'll make an impact:
Leadership
Create a culture of communication among team members and through clear communication of ideas, processes and goals
Lead by example and takes full responsibility for ideas, actions and problem solving
Ensure the team has all necessary tools to effectively perform the job
Identifies training needs for the team and carrying out training as required
Brand
Development and implementation of a year-round Brand strategy
Oversee the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy
Develop an annual strategic marketing plan in conjunction with other key departments. This should detail the year’s brand and marketing objectives and agreed upon goals for exhibitors/sponsors and attendees, universe sizes and goals, customer insight and messaging
Work directly with conference and events team to create content messaging strategy that is in line with the overall brand strategy
Marketing
Oversee implementation and delivery or results of the marketing strategy - including campaigns, conference, events, digital marketing, advertising, and PR
Work closely with leadership team to define marketing needs and programs
Responsible for marketing budget, working closely with event leadership to develop, maintain and report on
Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team, ensuring the marketing manager and coordinators understands and delivers on event goals, strategy, and customer need
Work closely with marketing manager to ensure marketing team well equipped with tools, knowledge and bandwidth to execute on day-to-day marketing plans
Ensure that the marketing objectives are set and achieved by the marketing team
Work with the marketing manager and marketing teams to manage the social media presence and direct programs to improve conversions of new customers, drive customer experience, recognition, and event goals
Work with the operations team to ensure the onsite representation of the event is in line with the marketing and brand strategy
Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer/customer trends
Work directly internal team and with PR agency (where applicable) to create PR campaign strategy to achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media
Analyze marketing plan results and effectiveness, customer insights and industry data to make recommendations to improve performance and delivery of results
Relationships
Identify, create and manage both internal and external relationships critical to business objectives and meet company core values
Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
Mentor, provide leadership to your marketing manager and coordinators
Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all departments
Demonstrate technical marketing skills and company product knowledge
General Management
Manage the marketing team day to day
Set clear goals and objectives for all reporting staff
Set, monitor and evaluate performance targets
Assess, develop and coach all reporting staff and complete staff appraisals as necessary
Be aware of employment procedures, disciplinary actions and employment law issues
Ensure that training and development needs for all are met
Develop an understanding of the company’s objectives and goals for the future and your part / your team’s part in achieving them
Identify and maintain key customer group and partner care
Resolve attendee needs both pre-show and on site
Work on site during the build-up and open period of the show
Motivate the team
Attend training courses as agreed with your line manager
Represent your event brand and Clarion Events in a professional manner at all times
The skills & experience you'll need:
5+ years marketing experience
Strong leadership skills to develop and motivate strong marketing teams, collaborate across multiple centralized groups while delivering on strategic goals.
You’re curious, resourceful, a self-starter, a creative problem solver, an organized project manager and a team player, motivated to reach event and customer goals
Experience working with and planning for marketing automation software is a plus
Strong organizational and reporting skills
Fearless written and oral communicator
Experience with conferences, events and/or trade shows a bonus
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams
