Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our IT support team. The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users regarding computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software as needed.
  • Set up and configure new employee workstations, including user accounts, email, and software applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Ensure security measures are in place and maintained on all IT equipment and systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and patches.
  • Monitor and respond to IT support tickets in a timely manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to resolve technical problems and implement solutions.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT systems and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT inventory, procedures, and user guides.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (relevant certifications and experience may substitute).
  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Experience with troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
