IT Technical Analyst for Valley Mountain Regional Center
General Statement of Duties: Under the general direction of the IT Manager, the Technical Analyst will work as a team member in IT Department to support end users for any technical needs. This position must have IT background and have strong understanding of many different applications and hardware that are being used in the agency. Flexible and reliable who can be in the office Monday-Friday during regular business hours. Independent and can work in a fast-paced environment. Willing to work overtime if needed or when a major issue arises.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Most duties are performed in the office
Must have reliable transportation and able to travel locally and/or out of town
The ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time
Frequent standing, walking bending, reaching, lifting throughout offices
Adequate manual dexterity and coordination to operate standard office equipment (i.e. computer, telephone, printers’ fax machine, etc.)
The ability to read, write and comprehend large amounts of written material such as reports and regulations. Email and telephone communication is required daily
Excellent oral and written skills are essential
The ability to lift, push and pull and carry up to 25 pounds.
The ability to bend, stoop and crawl
The ability to reach including reaching at heights above the shoulders
Key Responsibilities – Essential Functions
Responsibilities May Include:
Experienced in Windows Operating Systems and devices
Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
Ensuring the security of client and VMRC’s systems
Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices via helpdesk and phone calls
Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
Must have strong communication skills and patience
Endurance and have problem solving skills
Fast learner and good team player
Support print checks after each check run for Fiscal
Equipment set up for employees
Assist with IT projects and tasks as needed
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Requirements: Associate Degree in Information Technology plus 1 year experience in related field and/or specific certification or bachelor’s degree.
Salary: $2,057.60 - $2,759.20 biweekly
