IT Support Technician

The Information Technology Support Technician position assists in the installation, maintenance and replacement of computer hardware, software, network equipment, surveillance cameras, Police in-car camera systems, mobile data terminals, and Police body cameras. Assists the City’s IT Support Technician II and Technology Services Directors in assessing the IT needs of the department and City. Performs other City IT matters as assigned and other related duties as required. Reports to the Technology Services Director. Minimum Experience and Training: Requires Associate’s degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education with emphasis in data communications, computer networking, information technology or a closely related field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Entry-level pay for this position is $41,206
