IT Support Specialist Intern
Core4ce is looking to hire a Junior IT Specialist to work between July and September to help augment support at the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The Junior IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance and support to end-users within the Defense Health Agency (DHA). This is an internship and expected to last 2 months and involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with IT infrastructure maintenance, and ensuring smooth operation of computer systems.
Responsibilities
Respond to user inquiries and assist with technical issues through various channels, including phone, email, or in-person.Provide timely and effective solutions to hardware, software, and network problems. Move, setup, and/or install IT hardware for customers Troubleshoot and repair/resolve various issues/requests for peripheral devices Install, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues/requests Provide desk-side end user support when necessary Update and document inventory changes when necessary Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment. Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and software components. Assist in routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and system upgrades. Assist in troubleshooting basic network connectivity issues. Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data. Educate end-users on security best practices and potential threats. Offer remote support for off-site users and satellite offices. Utilize remote desktop tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Maintain a customer-focused approach, ensuring a positive experience for end-users. Communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
Requirements
High School DiplomaBasic understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, and software systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Eagerness to learn and stay updated on emerging technologies. Eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance Able to lift up to 50 lbs
