IT Specialist

We are family owned vegetable and flower farm that's been around since the 90's and we are rapidly growing so we need an experience IT Specialist to come onboard with us and help us out. This is a very rewarding position with potential growth opportunities down the road.

The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting internal customers with IT needs under the direction of the IT Manager and CFO. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer service demeanor are necessary to be successful in this role. This role is key to ensure that employees can perform administrative duties efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve IT issues.
• Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related inquiries and provide help desk support.
• Configure and maintain user accounts and access permissions.
• Install and update systems, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor system performance and network devices to identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct regular data backups and security audits to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement technology solutions for business needs.
• Assist in the purchase and setup of new IT hardware and software.
• Perform system configurations and maintain network devices such as routers, firewalls, and switches.
• Stay up-to-date with new releases and technology trends to recommend improvements and upgrades.
• Provide training to non-technical staff on new systems and software.
• Possess strong attention to detail and actively seek to learn and improve skillset.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats.
• Communicate and provide support in both English and Spanish.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in an IT support or similar role.
• Fluent in Spanish (PLUS)
• Strong understanding of troubleshooting and technical support processes.
• Experience with help desk operations and providing customer service.
• Proficiency in setting up and configuring user accounts and access permissions.
• Working knowledge of installation, maintenance, and system performance management.
• Experience with network devices such as routers, firewalls, and switches.
• Familiarity with technology solutions and ability to recommend improvements.
