IT Solutions Architect

Roles And Responsibilities

• System Design and Architecture:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define system architecture and technical solutions.
• Design end-to-end IT systems and solutions architecture that meets scalability, reliability, security, and performance requirements.
• Develop architectural diagrams, specifications, and documentation to communicate design and implementation approaches.
• Technology Evaluation and Selection:
• Evaluate existing IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to identify areas for improvement and modernization.
• Research and assess new technologies, frameworks, and platforms to recommend optimal solutions that align with business goals.
• Make recommendations on technology selection, integration, and implementation strategies.
• Technical Leadership and Guidance:
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, architects, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define and enforce best practices, standards, and architectural principles to ensure consistency and quality in solution delivery.
• Mentor and coach team members on architecture design patterns, methodologies, and emerging technologies.
• Solution Implementation and Integration:
• Lead and oversee the implementation of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural designs and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems, applications, and services within the IT ecosystem.
• Conduct proof of concepts (POCs), prototypes, and pilots to validate technology solutions and feasibility.
• Security and Compliance:
• Design and implement security measures, protocols, and standards to protect IT systems and data.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT architecture and security.
• Perform security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessments as needed.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and partners to align IT solutions with business objectives.
• Communicate technical concepts, solution designs, and implementation plans to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, gather feedback, and incorporate requirements into solution designs.
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience as an IT Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar role designing and implementing complex IT systems.
• In-depth knowledge of IT architecture principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
