IT Senior Specialist

Purpose

Responsible for assisting the IT Manager with daily MIS functions, including but not limited to, maintaining the computer network, technology assessment, and implementation, data integrity, and security. Responsible for accurate and timely entry of all client data.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the IT Manager to ensure data security and privacy by monitoring computer networks and servers to diagnose security breaches and viruses. Conduct periodic monitoring and advise the IT Manager on findings and appropriate actions necessary to maintain data integrity.
  • Assist the IT Manager to set up new locations with installation of servers, networks, computers, hardware, and software needs.
  • Retain records of schedule upgrades and maintenances to established offices for their servers, networks, computers, hardware, software without service interruptions to staff.
  • Log changes to inventory of computers and hardware and notify IT Manager of stock deficiencies.
  • Provide support to users who are reporting issues by troubleshooting systems to diagnose and resolving those issues by debugging, making repairs, or replacing hardware.
  • Reinforce procedures to program staff regarding collection of data within LegalServer, Penelope, Internal Matching Grant software, and any other local systems. Provide support to program teams to train new staff on the aforementioned software, or newly added programs.
  • Collaborate with data entry team to develop existing case management software and reports to ensure data collected in the various software can be analyzed, batched, and transferred accurately into the funder’s programs such as WEB-RS.
  • Co-produce reports and dashboards in collaboration with the Contract Compliance Team for the various software products utilized by our national, state and private contracts.
  • Internal Matching Grant Software and Penelope (Tableau and IRIS) report generator.
  • Create SQL and PL/SQL queries and make adjustments to improve the accuracy in reports, which are then published to illustrate trends, present data to funders, managers, and program staff.
  • Database management and support.
  • Assist data entry team by modifying case management software to prevent error messages when uploading batched data into the funder’s website.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Qualifications

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
    • Strong computer literacy is required.
    • Strong professional ethics and sensitivity in dealing with confidential matters.
    • Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
    • Great on-site and remote customer service skills.  Data management with Tableau, MS Excel, ORACLE and SQL Server.
    • Data analysis
    • Statistical knowledge.
    • Creating Dashboards and reports.
Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years work experience in related Information Technology field.

Experience

  • Previous work experience in IT Management, Help Desk Analyst, Data Analytics, Database Development, Administration and Maintenance, Customer service, and general office work.

Other Skills

  • Strong problem solving skills, detail-oriented, and close attention to detail. Database development experience. Data analysis experience. Data cleaning, preparation and visualization. The incumbent is occasionally required to work on weekends and/or after hours to assist with major updates to software, networking, Anti-virus programs, etc. Will require travel to the Palm Beach, Tampa and other offices in the Southeast Region. Spanish or Haitian Creole-speaking preferred.

Special Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and suitable transportation.
  • Must complete motor vehicle record check.
  • Must be willing and able to travel.
  • Background check required.
  • Level 2 Fingerprint check required.
