Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology (IT), the IT Senior Director will design and implement IT Infrastructure and network strategies. This position will manage business needs, company goals, and employee coordination to meet business strategies. They will manage the IT infrastructure and networking at the regional and global levels. They will be responsible for ensuring the IT network is available, secure, and resilient across the enterprise. They will be responsible for setting direction, IT budgets, and guiding and mentoring IT Teams.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, IT Technical, planning, process improvement, and strategic decision-making skills. A proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment will be required for success in this position.

Position Responsibilities

  • Spearhead regional and global technology planning efforts with regional IT teams. Plan and execute projects as necessary.
  • Ensure the stability, availability, scalability, and standardization of OFI's IT infrastructure network across ofi different regions, encompassing 170+ locations in 37 countries in seven global regions.
  • Collaborate closely with operational leaders to understand their technology needs, prioritize initiatives, and develop a cohesive technology strategy that supports tactical and strategic goals.
  • Provide direction and leadership to regional IT teams, ensuring alignment with best practices, effective resource allocation, and successful project prioritization.
  • Manage regional and global data communication vendors and contracts and leverage those relationships to create cost-effective agreements.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team/Engineers and the cybersecurity team to plan and separate the IT Network from the Operational network in key ofi processing plants
  • Provide real-time leadership and escalation points for urgent IT network-related issues, significant incidents, and security violations
  • Manage and oversee the IT budgets for IT Infrastructure and networking
  • Conduct ongoing research on new systems/platforms, software products, and services, making informed recommendations aligned with the company's technology needs and future growth plans.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • 10+ years of work experience in Infrastructure and networking technologies
  • 15+ years as a manager in a large, diverse global enterprise with a Proven track record of executive leadership in Information Technology
  • At least three years as a manager of managers
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in implementing and supporting IT networks and IT solutions in fast-paced environments in Food Processing, warehousing, and Distribution environments.
  • Experience with IT buildouts of data centers, offices, warehouses, and production plants
  • Experience with data backup and restore solutions such as Commvault, Datto, and Veritas
  • Experience with the mergers and acquisitions process and integrating IT environments of merging companies.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Experience with desktop security software such as Trellix, Zscaler, McAfee products, MS Defender, and CrowdStrike
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Nutanix
  • A thorough understanding of firewalls (policies and controls), cybersecurity (vulnerability management, audits, and tools), and networking (protocols and routing)
  • Data communications experience with MPLS and SDWAN technologies, Site-to-Site and VPN technologies
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing networks, including Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Complete understanding of Microsoft Products, including licensing for Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience providing IT solutions in the Food or Agriculture Industry is strongly preferred. Previous business and/ or manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in managing projects of different sizes and complexities.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills are required.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budgets is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills, are required. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills are required.
  • Proven ability to be adaptable, capable, self-motivated, and confident is required.
  • Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills are required.
  • Ability and desire to travel, as required by the business, is required.
  • Bi-lingual, English, and Spanish are a plus.
