Responsibilities
- Deploy and uphold IT security protocols to safeguard the organization's systems and data from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
- Supervise security systems, encompassing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and encryption tools.
- Monitor network traffic for security incidents and promptly respond to security alerts and breaches.
- Conduct security assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and propose remedial actions.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory mandates.
- Manage user access controls, including user provisioning, authentication mechanisms, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Collaborate with IT teams to embed security considerations into system design, development, and implementation processes.
- Provide security awareness training and education to foster a culture of security consciousness and compliance among employees.
- Keep abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to continually enhance the organization's security posture.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies like firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, and encryption.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, capable of assessing and mitigating security risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adept at working with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
