Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and experienced IT Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our QA team. The IT QA Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing QA strategies, processes, and standards to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications and IT systems.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives and IT goals; define QA policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead and manage a team of QA engineers and testers; provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to ensure professional growth and performance excellence.
  • Establish QA metrics, KPIs, and quality gates to monitor and evaluate software quality throughout the development lifecycle; track defects, test coverage, and resolution progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, operations) to define testing requirements, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria for software releases.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all QA activities including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency; drive continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of QA issues and collaborate with development teams to implement corrective and preventive actions; ensure timely resolution of defects and issues.
  • Establish and maintain QA environments, test data, and test bed configurations to support testing activities and simulate production scenarios.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and software testing; implement innovations and improvements to enhance QA capabilities.
  • Prepare QA status reports, test summary reports, and quality assessment presentations for stakeholders; communicate QA results, metrics, and insights effectively.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree or certifications such as ISTQB are a plus).
  • Proven experience (X years) as an IT Quality Assurance Manager, QA Lead, or similar role in software development or IT projects.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices; hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, JIRA).
  • Experience in managing QA processes for web applications, mobile apps, and enterprise systems; familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills; ability to build, motivate, and manage high-performing QA teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze complex issues, prioritize tasks, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter) and security testing methodologies is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
