IT Professional Services Consultant Department: Tenova LLC Employment Type: Permanent Location: MD - Fort Meade Compensation: $163,000 - $224,235 / year Description We are recruiting a Professional Services Consultant on behalf of our client, a US-based software company to provide technical and thought leadership through focused solutions to the organization globally. You will work directly with customers while acting as the subject matter expert and Trusted Advisor across their Security Suite of solutions. As a successful Consultant you will be adept at mastering new technologies and come from a variety of business, analytic and technology backgrounds. Responsibilities Provide Security expertise for Security Products to develop, plan, analyze, and articulate security practices in customer environments. The opportunity to drive complex deployments of Splunk while working side by side with the customers to resolve their unique problems and help them define their future architectural roadmap as a trusted advisor Collaborate with individuals across the company from Product Management, Product Marketing, Professional Services, Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success Management, and Support to bring access to product and technical teams, and to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation from customer input. Qualifications Top Secret Clearance w/ CI Polygraph BA/BS preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Finance or Mathematics or equivalent study/work experience Hands-on experience with Splunk products or similar products Prior experience implementing Splunk products preferred 3-5 years of current experience in technical consulting or Cybersecurity; or a desire to move into a technical consulting role with 3-5 years of technical experience Certification and experience in 1 or more of the following: AWS Associate, AWS Architect, Google Cloud, or Kubernetes Experience with both the Unix and Windows operating systems; comfortable on the command line interface Solid grasp or recent experience with scripting languages (bash), application development (java, python, .NET), databases and analytical tools Ability to collaborate across the entire Splunk organization and bring access to product and technical teams to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation gathered from customer input Ability to collaborate and listen to technical and non-technical consumers from IT administrators to executive level partners Demonstrable understanding of common enterprise applications (especially in the areas of security and finance) Relevant software industry experience in any of the following: IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, and/or analytics Self-motivated and self-educating, always interested in keeping up with technology and improving oneself Not required, but a plus: statistical and analytical modeling Benefits & Compensation Annual salary starts at $163,000 EEO is the Law.
