IT Operations Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and experienced IT Operations Manager to lead our IT operations team. As the IT Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure, systems, and support services. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT environment while aligning with business objectives and priorities.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, Help Desk Support, and other IT staff; foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
• IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Operations Oversight: Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and services, including system availability, performance, and security.
• Incident and Problem Management: Manage IT incidents and problems; coordinate resolution efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Change and Release Management: Implement and oversee change and release management processes to minimize disruptions and ensure changes are deployed efficiently and safely.
• Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers; negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure compliance with agreements.
• Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage IT budgets; optimize IT spending and resources to align with organizational goals and priorities.
• Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance, security, and operational efficiency.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience (X years) in IT operations management or a similar leadership role, overseeing IT infrastructure, systems, and support services.
• Strong technical background with experience in systems administration, network management, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Solid understanding of ITIL framework, IT service management principles, and best practices.
• Experience with IT project management, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make strategic decisions and prioritize effectively.
