Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of our IT infrastructure solutions. As an IT Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions that support our organization's business goals and objectives. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping our technology landscape, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across our IT infrastructure.
Roles And Responsibilities
Design end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
Develop architectural standards, guidelines, and frameworks for IT infrastructure components including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical requirements, propose solutions, and gain buy-in for architectural decisions.
Evaluate existing infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization, consolidation, and cost reduction.
Lead infrastructure projects from conception through implementation, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, security standards, and operational excellence.
Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed infrastructure solutions.
Define and document technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation for infrastructure components and configurations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT infrastructure architecture and design.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate products, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful implementations.
Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect, Senior Systems Engineer, or similar role designing and implementing complex IT infrastructure solutions.
In-depth knowledge of infrastructure components such as servers (physical and virtual), storage (SAN, NAS), networking (LAN, WAN, VPN), and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud architectures.
Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
Proficiency in designing high-availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to architect solutions that balance performance, scalability, security, and cost.
Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent certifications are desirable.
