Position Summary

The Director of IT Supply Chain will lead a team of analysts, software engineers, and external consultants/vendors to support the IT function related to supply forecasting, inventory management, warehouse management, and product distribution. This position will collaborate with operational stakeholders at all levels to identify and deliver solutions to complex business problems. This role will ensure IT Supply Chain systems support the strategic goals and objectives of the organization, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency across all departments.

Core Functions

  • Develop and implement an IT supply chain strategy aligned with the organization’s goals.
  • Identify opportunities for IT supply chain improvements and new applications to enhance business processes.
  • Lead IT supply chain projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Oversee the maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of the IT supply chain.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and system reliability.
  • Manage and mentor a team of IT supply chain analysts, engineers, developers, and support staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Manage relationships with IT supply chain vendors and consultants.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure optimal service and support.
  • Work with department heads and key users to understand their needs and ensure IT supply chain solutions meet business requirements.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on IT supply chain project status and performance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for IT supply chain users.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for IT supply chain -related issues.
  • Ensure IT supply chain systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in IT supply chain technologies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, Business Administration, Management, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of related experience in IT supply chain solutions is required.
  • 5+ years managing a team required.
  • 5+ years of Manhattan Active experience preferred.

Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge

  • Skilled in WMS, S&OP, ERP systems, MRP systems, shop floor systems, EDI, and knowledge of database software.
  • Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Excellent documentation (project deliverables and functional spec.) and customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw an interpret graphs.
  • Knowledge of common business practices and corresponding financial concepts is required.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively.

Travel

  • Up to 50% travel may be required, dependent upon work location.

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • This position is a Manager+: Plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs the employees within the department function. Has direct reports.

Physical Requirements

  • This position is subject to Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Physical Activities

  • This position is subject to the following physical activities: standing, walking, talking, and hearing.

Visual Acuity

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

  • This position primarily operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role may be required to visit the plant environment as needed to support ERP systems within the brands and must follow the plant’s safety rules.
