Our client is seeking a highly skilled IT Data Operations Manager with specialized experience in healthcare infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our data infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, reliability, and security within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data infrastructure systems tailored for healthcare environments.
Data Security: Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA) by implementing and maintaining strict security protocols for data storage, transmission, and access.
Team Leadership: Manage a team of IT professionals responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading data infrastructure components.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to procure necessary hardware, software, and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budgetary constraints.
Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement strategies for continuous monitoring of infrastructure performance, identifying and addressing potential issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Disaster Recovery: Design and implement robust disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical healthcare data, ensuring rapid recovery in the event of system failures or natural disasters.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including executives, IT staff, and healthcare professionals, to provide updates on infrastructure performance, projects, and initiatives.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support organizational objectives while adhering to financial constraints.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in healthcare IT infrastructure, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on healthcare environments.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare data regulations and compliance requirements, such as HIPAA.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Extensive experience with infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to servers, storage systems, networking, virtualization, and cloud computing.
Proficiency in implementing and managing security measures, such as firewalls, encryption, access controls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, ITIL) are a plus.
