Job Title: IT Compliance Officer

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update IT compliance policies and procedures in line with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and ISO.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with IT teams to implement controls and measures to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting IT compliance and adjust policies accordingly.
  • Provide guidance and training to IT staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Investigate compliance incidents and breaches, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Assist in responding to compliance inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT compliance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, ISO, and NIST.
  • Experience in conducting compliance audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address compliance risks and issues.
  • Preferred certifications include CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or similar.
