IT Asset and Configuration Management Specialist (Axonius)

In our Cybersecurity BU we provide clients with threat and vulnerability management, cyber data and engineering, and cyber governance, risk, and compliance solutions.

We're looking for a Senior IT Asset and Configuration Management Specialist with expertise in Axonius to join our growing Cybersecurity team. This position is full-time and 100% remote (Atlanta is always preferred but not required).

Duties:

You will stand up an ITAM and CMDB program in a phased approach to shape and drive the establishment of ITAM and CMDB practices for one of our top clients.

• Provide ITAM and CMDB SME advisory
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope, objectives, and requirements for the ITAM and CMDB program
• Lead the implementation of selected ITAM and CMDB tools, specifically Axonius and/or Jira
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for asset management and configuration management
• Establish processes for asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal
• Execute activities as directed by the engagement manager
• Track work and progress in project plans
• Taking action on any issues identified and having a proactive attitude for timely resolution
• Demonstrate strong understanding of large scale information technology systems, business processes, security regulatory risk management and security vulnerabilities
• Understand clients' business environment and IT risk management approaches
• Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on ITAM and CMDB processes and tools
• Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations
  
  

Required:

• 5+ years experience in standing up IT Asset Management and Configuration Management Database programs
• Must have experience in ITAM & CMDB tools including Axonius and Jira
• Strong understanding of ITAM and CMDB concepts, principles, and frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to ITAM and CMDB, such as ISO 19770 and ITIL
• Understanding of key data resources, flows and familiarity with database management
• Demonstrated ability to write business and technical reports and to participate in presentations to present research/findings to the team and/or client
• Capable of leading / owning workstreams to completion with a small team of junior analysts

• Consultative IT Asset Management, Configuration Management or related IT Operations roles
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools
• Experience with Big 4 company is a plus
