Job Description

This position is currently a hybrid of both in-office (2 days a week in office required) and telework days. The office is located at The Division of Technology Services 4315 S 2700 West, Taylorsville, Utah. Please note, a position's eligibility for telework is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion at any time and for any reason.

State's environment is a highly optimized blend of systems responsible for collecting, processing, and distributing millions of data elements every day.

Example of Duties

  • Manages software asset management for select enterprise software by assigning new users to the software dashboards, tracking users in the software asset management system, auditing information for correctness, removing users as needed, and ensuring accuracy of billing for software being used
  • Maintains appropriate software levels for select enterprise software and manages purchase requests for renewals and additional license requests as needed
  • Analyzes, summarizes and/or reviews data; reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations.
  • Anticipates the impact that new or modified software will have on existing standards and systems.
  • Provides technical assistance on agency issues, services, program(s), and/or computer hardware and software, etc.
  • Determines the resources needed to plan and implement IT applications. Discusses requirements with end users and provides software suggestions and recommendations to users to help them understand potential limitations and challenges.
  • implements, and maintains required software. Establishes and documents standards for use and operation of software.
  • Monitors and evaluates operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Acts as a resource to provide information or determine the most effective way of meeting the needs of management, staff, clients or customers.

Qualifications

  • Ability to use analytical data to creatively promote initiatives
  • Ability to communicate professionally to C-Level employees
  • Identify creative communication and marketing strategies for SaaS products
  • Experience in digital media software, ex Creative Cloud
  • Experience in Wordpress to update/maintain websites
  • Experience with management of enterprise software such as Adobe Sign, Atlassian, GitHub, GitLab, Lucid, Zoom, and Docker

Supplemental Information

  • Employment contingent on passing a drug screening and a background check.
  • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
