The IT Administrator’s role is to support and maintain Celigo’s hardware including laptops, office equipment, and peripherals as well as setting up new employee accounts and assisting with various IT projects. In addition, this person will provide first-line support to Celigo employees- both in-person in the Redwood City office and remotely via internal communication channels. This includes troubleshooting issues on employee laptops and providing brief end-user training and assistance where required to solve employee equipment issues.

  • This IT Administrator position will be a ~6 month contract position with potential to hire full time.

Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Liaise with, and provide training and support to, end users and staff on computer operations, procedures/standards, and other issues.
  • Configure and troubleshoot end-user workstation laptops/hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
  • Outsource repairs through approved repair vendors if/when needed.
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex computer problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, tickets, and/or e-mails regarding access, hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain an inventory of all laptops and other peripheral equipment.
  • If necessary, liaise with third-party support and computer equipment vendors.
  • Provide updates to the VP of IS and/or Manager, IT on issues that end users or staff are experiencing and develop an action plan.
  • Update and maintain Celigo’s intranet (WIki) pages with clean and usable information, including purging old information and adding updated details.
  • Timely maintenance of employee on/off boarding process, including activation/deactivation of access equipment provisioning and de-provisioning.

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

  • Familiarity with Google, Slack and associated products.
  • Experience or familiarity with Zoom, Zoom Rooms, and Zoom Webinars.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC & Mac hardware.
  • Hands-on laptop/hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Ability to configure and operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Ability to conduct research into hardware issues and products as required.
  • Working knowledge of web pages and basic design skills.

  • Lifting and transporting heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as desks, computers and peripherals.

Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $20 - $35 per hour for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, benefits, or other perks as outlined in any formal employment offer made.
