JOB SUMMARY 

 

The Issue Resolution Specialist role is a customer service-oriented role that will function as part of a dynamic team built to address a crisis management effort within the HR/Payroll function of a global client. The ideal candidate will be able to function both independently and as part of a team that deals with a variety of issues related to payroll, although no specific payroll experience is needed. Training will be provided for time-efficient onboarding so that the specialist is ready to step fully into the role quickly.

 

Our ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to learn and become proficient quickly, have excellent communication skills, and is ready to be part of a fun, down-to-earth team that works hard together.

 

This is a 6-month engagement. 20 - 28 hours per week.

 

  • Provide customer service assistance to employees experiencing payroll issues. Respond to payroll inquiries with empathy and in a timely manner directing issues to next-level support.
  • Listen attentively and with empathy to employee’s questions and concerns.
  • Walk employees through the problem-solving process.
  • Log and report persistent problems to the appropriate team.
  • Maintain confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Represent our client with professionalism and integrity.

 

  • Strong customer service skills identifying issues and working towards resolution.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to take detailed notes, follow up on notes, and draft employee communications.
  • Must be able to manage a variety of tasks and competing priorities.
  • Must be willing to figure out solutions for unknown or unclear scenarios.
  • Ability to compare data across multiple systems and identify errors.
  • Comfortable working with team members and subject matter experts within different functions and across areas of expertise and experiences.
  • Capable of moving issues to resolution, following processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to redirect quickly and without issue, change directions as needed, and be flexible in the dynamic environment.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Ability to understand and follow codes of conduct, data privacy requirements, and stakeholder engagement protocols.
