IPSC Cell Biologist

Qualifications And Skills

  • A Master's degree in biology or related disciplines, or a Bachelor's degree with 2 additional years of experience.
  • Experience in cell culture, either in an academic or industry setting, is required.
  • Proficient in iPSC handling, with a strong interest, knowledge, and experience in neuroscience or rare disease research.
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills with the ability to articulate and synthesize complex issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated creativity, curiosity, and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of collaboration and networking across different functions and with internal and external partners.
  • Good organizational skills, adhering to standard operating procedures with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and optimization of in vitro differentiation protocols to produce iPSC-derived cell types, particularly iPSC-derived neurons.
  • Support the development of disease phenotype-specific molecular and functional assays in cell types differentiated from human pluripotent stem cells.
  • Collaborate with the team to conduct gene editing in iPSC-derived cells.
  • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of cell cultures of various types.
