IP Docket Specialist

Put your excellent customer service and attention to detail skills to work at Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the Western United States. We currently have an opening for an IP Docket Specialist.

If you can handle a busy workload and have in depth knowledge of US and foreign patent or US and foreign trademark docketing, we would love to have you join our team!

The hours for this position are 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. MST Monday through Friday. The position may be fully or partially remote in one of the cities we have an office location.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Receives/reviews Intellectual Property email, federal express packages and faxes for due dates, including correspondence to and from foreign patent or foreign trademark offices
• Processes incoming Lateral Attorney and transferring client files
• Processes Attorney/Secretary Intellectual Property e-mails to docket
• Assigns deadlines and/or response times in Intellectual Property docket software
• Runs weekly reports of deadlines or response times and distributes to Intellectual Property Attorneys
• Creates or updates process documentation
• Develops and maintains smooth working relationships with Attorneys and Staff

Experience and Qualifications:

• At least 5 years’ experience in US and foreign patent or US and foreign trademark docketing, preferably using Computer Packages, Inc. (CPI), or equivalent IP Legal Assistant/Paralegal experience
• Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Legal experience in Intellectual Property is required
