Position Summary:

The IOP Intake Clinician is responsible for conducting initial assessments and intakes for clients entering the Intensive Outpatient Program. This role involves evaluating clients' mental health needs, determining appropriate treatment plans, and coordinating the intake process to ensure smooth admission into the program. The clinician works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and diagnostic evaluations of clients seeking admission to the IOP.
  • Gather comprehensive biopsychosocial histories and utilize appropriate assessment tools.
  • Develop and document individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and clinical presentations.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers, family members, and relevant parties to facilitate client admissions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed during the intake process.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and referral sources regarding the intake process and treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and case consultations to ensure coordinated care.
  • Stay updated on best practices, clinical guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid state license (LCMHC, LICSW, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health, preferably in an outpatient or IOP setting.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.

Pay Range:

  • The pay range for this part-time, fee-for-service position typically varies based on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
  • Estimated Range: $40 - $70 per hour
