Investment Specialist – Contract – Weehawken, NJ – $50.00-$55.00/hr.

Our client is seeking an Investment Specialist in Weehawken, NJ.


Role Description

This is an opportunity to join a leading global credit manager, and be a part of the team’s global marketing and client effort. The role will be covering for a member of the Investment Specialist team who will be out for parental leave. Investment specialists sit at the intersection of the investment team, clients, and products. Your responsibilities will include dealing with day-to-day client requests, client reporting, preparing marketing materials, completion of DDQs and RFPs, updating client databases, as well as coordinating conference and roadshow activities. Finally, you will need to work closely with colleagues from across the bank’s AM organization, in particular Client Coverage, Product, and support functions such as legal, compliance and finance.


The Bank’s Credit Investments Group, a business unit of the Asset Management Division, is an industry leader in managing non-investment grade credit portfolios, with approximately $57 billion in assets under management across direct lending, bank loans, high yield bonds and structured product portfolios. CIG is one of the largest leveraged credit managers in the US and Western Europe, with an accomplished full-service group of dedicated career credit professionals located in New York, London, Zurich and Tokyo.


Skills & Requirements

  • Experience within an asset management or investment banking organization in a client facing role, preferably with experience in non-investment grade credit or fixed income.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to succinctly explain complex ideas
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to partner effectively with colleagues from across the organization to deliver market-leading solutions to our clients
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize between various projects
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Experience with DDQs or RFPs is preferred, but not required
