Investment Banking Associate

Location: New York

Salary: up to $225k

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

• Provide support to senior bankers.
• Develop client presentation materials, including all background research, analysis, and drafting.
• Demonstrate familiarity with financial models and other financial analysis.
• Perform detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analysis.
• Support product partners and monitor the entire execution process for transactions, ensuring timely execution to meet client expectations.
• Adhere to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent work experience, in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA (Preferred for Associate level).

Work Experience:

• Experience in Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Investment Banking (3+ years with a Bachelor's degree, 1+ years with an MBA).
• FIG Specialty Finance experience is required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate finance and investment banking products.
• Specialty Finance - Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Investment Banking experience is required.
• Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with advanced financial modeling skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player and self-starter.
