Investment Banking Analyst

Compass Point is a premier full-service investment bank providing a wide range of banking and research services to our clients. We serve as an expert advisor and resource to corporate clients and institutional asset managers including mutual funds, hedge funds, and family offices.

We are seeking an experienced Analyst to join our Investment Banking Team located in Washington, DC.

As an Analyst, you will provide support to senior bankers and analysts with all aspects of fast-growing banking practice. This includes deal pitching, model preparation, and deal execution. Specific responsibilities include preparing financial models, researching, and analyzing datapoints, and assisting with detailed presentations for corporate clients.

Responsibilities

• Build financial statements and valuation models for existing and target clients
• Prepare client pitches and marketing materials
• Coordinate working groups, roadshows, and other marketing events
• Perform due diligence, research, and document capital market transactions

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

The following are the minimum requirements for this position:

• A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience in an investment banking role
• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field, preferably with a concentration in finance or mathematics
• Strong financial modeling skills and experience analyzing financial statements
• Effective project management, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel products
• FINRA SIE, Series 7 and/or 79 licenses
