We’re looking for someone like that who can:
We are seeking a Director (VP) to work in our Investment Grade FIG DCM team in New York. Our team is responsible for originating, underwriting and syndicating debt transactions for North American financial institution clients. You’ll play an important role in advising clients on a range of market and strategic matters, including assessment of capital structure alternatives and financing options across products and global markets.
Investment Grade Senior Debt Offerings: pitch, structure, and execute senior debt offerings across currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, AUD) for North American financial issuers to support liquidity and funding needs
Capital Product: Identify capital needs for financial clients and use deep understanding of regulatory capital landscape to structure and successfully bring offerings to market
$25 par / retail market: understand and demonstrate deep familiarity with $25 par market including trends in favored issuers, product, on market yields and structure
Client Coverage: day-to-day client relationship coverage supporting senior team members and bankers in origination efforts. Generate, win and ultimately execute new issue debt business on behalf of our clients.
Work with internal partners: build professional relationship and rapport with internal colleagues (domestic and international) to facilitate a seamless “one-team” approach to clients

Salary Information
CA, CO, WA and NY based roles: The salary for this role is $275,000 based on experience, education, and skill level. This role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. For benefits information: ubs.com/usbenefits.

- lead all phases of the deal process including idea generation, pitching, due diligence, financial modelling, rating agency and investor presentations
- assess and analyze opportunity to access global investment grade funding markets
- understanding of regulatory capital requirements and capital product to successfully originate and execute capital transactions
- lead client dialogue and manage relationship with internal partners
- support syndication efforts of credit transactions to market
- working with internal partners in credit risk control in assessing risk
- reviewing and managing junior workstreams across the deal cycle from origination/initial pitch through to marketing/execution of the opportunity and settlement
- support efforts of senior investment bankers in the origination of opportunities across financial issuer landscape
- liaising with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. lawyers, accountants, counterparties)
- manage and support the development of junior investment bankers

Your expertise
- good understanding and hands-on exposure to investment grade new issue debt markets and capital product
- ideally you have experience working in investment banking and specifically investment grade DCM or capital solutions
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- solid financial analysis skills, with the ability to produce accurate presentation material quickly
- ability to partner with other groups across the bank
