We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced mergers & acquisitions professional to join our corporate development team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting acquisitions and divestments in the pulp, paper, and forestry products sector.
Responsibilities:
Communicate and coordinate with buyers and sellers, investment bankers and other advisors, and internal teams to support multiple acquisitions and divestments to ensure timely completion
Conduct financial analysis and modeling of potential acquisitions
Evaluate investment opportunities and perform due diligence
Collaborate with senior team members to develop investment thesis and strategies
Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards
Assist in the preparation of investment materials to executive management
Identify and analyze industry trends and market data
Analyze M&A and other corporate development legal documents
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting
Strong financial modeling, analytical, valuation and due diligence skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proven leadership and team management experience
Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and compliance aspects of M&A transactions
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to travel occasionally for projects
