Investment Accountant

Join our team as an Investment Accountant, where you'll play a crucial role in managing accounting data and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of private equity funds. If you have a background in accounting and are eager to delve into the intricacies of private equity and partnership accounting, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conduct daily accounting tasks for multiple private equity funds, including preparing wire and journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts from both internal and third-party administrators, investigating and explaining any discrepancies.
• Familiarize yourself with and operate across various cutting-edge IT systems.
• Assist in distributing investor capital activity notices securely through our portal.
• Gain expertise in management fee and carried interest calculations, as well as investment and fund-level performance metrics.
• Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to private equity funds, adhering to governing documents.
• Aid in the review process of semi-annual investment valuations with the accounting team.
• Prepare quarterly GAAP financial statements and partner capital statements for multiple private equity funds.
• Gather and organize data for annual audits and investor inquiries.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a minimum of one year of corporate accounting experience or experience with a CPA firm.
• Familiarity with investment and partnership accounting is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail, prioritizing accuracy and quality in your work.
• Strong organizational skills, enabling you to initiate, prioritize, and complete projects efficiently.
• A professional demeanor and a collaborative mindset, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
• Proactive and capable of managing large volumes of data for multiple private equity funds and investors.
• Flexibility to address urgent matters outside traditional business hours.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software, particularly Excel.
• Discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
