Job Description

Responsibilities: Familiarity with the Tribal Gaming Code, Tribal/State Gaming Compact, National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Departmental Internal Controls and Job Instructions. Will assure that the Yavapai Gaming Agency (YGA) and the Yavapai Gaming Commission (YGC) are in compliance with the Tribal Gaming Code, Tribal/State Gaming Compact and the NIGC MICS. Enforce all relevant laws and regulations of the Gaming Operations. Work closely with the Licensing Technician on the licensing process with new employees, transfers and will assist with renewals as needed. Will help applicants and employees with the licensing application process. Will investigate and report any violation(s) of the Compact, Tribal Gaming Code, and the MICS to the (YGC) through the Executive Director. Will conduct investigations as deemed appropriate and at the direction of the Executive Director or the YGC through the Executive Director. Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; self-reliant and capable of working independently as appropriate or necessary; possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner. Ability to remain unbiased at all times; must possess strong investigative skills and attention to detail; must possess a basic knowledge of criminal law. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all aspects of work. Full Time, excellent benefits, starting at $20.10 - $26.74 hourly, DOE. Must pass a background for gaming license, drug test, and be insurable under the Tribe's auto insurance carrier. The Tribe follows Indian Employment Preference Procedure which considers qualified applicants in this order: enrolled YPIT Tribal Members; applicants who are enrolled members of other Indian Tribes; all other qualified applicants.
