Inventory Specialist - Power Generation

As an Inventory Specialist, you will utilize a computerized inventory system to track and manage inventory and procurement activities for the plant. Your role is key in ensuring the availability of necessary parts and materials, contributing to the safe operation of the plant.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe operation of the plant by ensuring all necessary parts and materials are available
• Purchase materials and parts, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained
• Compare vendor quotes to identify the best suppliers, ensuring cost-effective procurement
• Properly organize and label all parts and materials in the inventory system
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company standards and procedures
• Utilize and maintain the inventory software; generate and analyze inventory reports to support operational decisions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree is preferred
• 2+ years of relevant warehouse/inventory experience
• Experience in a heavy industrial or power plant setting is preferred
