Job Description

Job Summary The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory control process within wood products. This role ensures the accurate and timely availability of materials needed for production, optimizes inventory levels, and supports the overall efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing process. The Inventory Control Supervisor will collaborate with various departments and implement best practices for material handling, storage, and distribution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Management: - Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the inventory control team. - Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels. - Monitor and analyze inventory levels, adjusting as necessary to prevent shortages or excesses. - Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies 2. Inventory Optimization: - Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels, balancing the need to minimize costs with ensuring the availability of materials for production. - Use data analysis and forecasting techniques to predict future inventory needs and trends. - Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory optimization. 3. Inventory Accuracy: - Ensure accurate recording of all inventory transactions. - Implement robust processes for tracking and auditing inventory to maintain high accuracy levels. - Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between physical inventory and system records 4. Material Handling and Storage:

• Ensure proper receiving, storage, and issuance of materials in accordance with company policies. - Implement and maintain efficient material handling procedures to minimize damage and loss. - Oversee the organization and labeling of inventory for easy identification and retrieval. - Establish and enforce rotation processes to ensure materials are used in a first-in, first-out (FIFO) manner, preventing obsolescence and waste. 5. Data Management and Reporting: - Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and material movements. - Generate and analyze reports on inventory levels, material usage, and other key metrics. - Present findings and recommendations to management for improving inventory control processes. 6. Continuous Improvement: - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in inventory control. - Participate in cross-functional teams to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
