Job Summary:

We are a profitable, privately held company with zero debt, seeking a detailed-oriented Inventory Manager with strong leadership qualities. This individual is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control. This includes monitoring inventory levels, implementing control procedures, and optimizing inventory turnover. Ability to travel to the manufacturing plant located in Dallas, Texas once per month or when required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Inventory Levels: Regularly track inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking.
  • Implement Control Procedures: Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
  • Reconcile Inventory Records: Reconcile inventory records and support accurate financial reporting.
  • Forecast Demand: Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and inform purchasing decisions.
  • Optimize Turnover: Collaborate with the operations team to optimize inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.
  • Inventory Reporting: Prepare and present regular inventory reports to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and implement best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to inventory management.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., CPIM) or Accounting (e.g., CPA) a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role, with a focus on financial oversight. Experience with inventory management software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools. NetSuite is a strong plus.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a huge plus.
  • Ability to travel – once per month to suppliers (30% or as needed)
  • Skills: Organizational skills + ability to follow-up, follow-up, follow-up. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a financial focus. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
