Complete the day to day duties for Distribution planning of Finished Goods. This will entail taking the demand plan and using to develop a supply plan.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Distribution Planning
Coordinate Forecast load into Master Scheduling
Manage the Master Schedule parameters to create gross production requirements for factories and POR for purchasing agents
Develop the forecasted outs report for each distribution location and research issues.
Maintain Minimum and Multiple settings for each Finished Goods Parts
Review Customer Order Shortages and communicate availability with customer service and or the factory affected
Communicate changes in product availability with Distribution Managers
Update customer order planned dates based on revised availability of inventory
Inter Company Transfers
Issue and Maintain Intercompany Purchase Orders
Confirmation of Intercompany Purchase Orders
Setup of Supplier for Purchase Part in accordance with company processes
Communicate changes in scheduling with the factory planners.
Communicate Expedites of Inventory with the Distribution Managers
Manage Adjustments of Inventory for creation of picklists
Knowledge/Skills
Basic computer skills.
Good communications skills to help distribution managers resolve conflicts in schedules.
Must be able to understand the planning parameters for parts.
Must be able to anticipate problems and make decisions quickly and confidently.
Must understand inventory control and management.
Education Requirements/ Experience
Four year college degree in related field or 1-3 years industry experience
Prior experience working with ERP planning systems preferred
