ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION

  • Work with Zekelman facilities and external vendors to ensure efficient delivery of work in process materials.
  • Receive/process incoming materials, products, parts/tools, and/or equipment as needed.
  • Primary responsibility for storeroom activities onsite. Ensure facility is aligned with corporate practices. Work with Procurement to manage and establish vendor associations.
  • Enter and coordinate work orders with Planning.
  • Assist with physical inventory preparation, implementation, and reconciliation.
  • Produce the documentation of data for daily reporting disciplines, operating reviews, and quarterly reports.
  • Participates in facility process improvement including standardized procedures to assure the timely, accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions.
  • Comprehends and adheres to all safety, quality, and Company guidelines specified in the Employee Handbook, the safety policy manuals, quality procedures or any official Company documents.
  • Other duties, as assigned.


Essential Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent with 2+ years of warehouse experience, preferably with steel or tubing; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and
  • Reasoning Ability Ability to read and interpret Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Communication Skills Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to listen and speak effectively to understand and communicate the needs of customers and coworkers. Computer Skills Ability to operate MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), internal business application computer system, and ability to be trained in bar-coding.
  • Other Qualifications Must follow safety standards when working with tools and equipment and must be able to receive forklift certification and dock leveler training within first week of start in the position. After first week, must be able to operate dock leveler, as well as forklift in a variety of weather and traffic conditions. Must also be able to receive 30-hour OSHA certificate approximately within the first month of start in this Excellent organizational and time management skills.


Preferable Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience Highschool Diploma
  • Other Qualifications Bar-coding proficiency is preferred. Additionally, basic knowledge of warehouse tools and equipment is a plus.
  • Computer Skills SAP knowledge
