The Inventory Control Supervisor manages and develops effective inventory control strategies to determine reorder levels and optimize stock; maintains inventory system integrity by ensuring current record entries; drives operational improvements in warehouse flows; and acts as a supervisory direct report for assigned personnel.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop effective inventory control strategies to determine reorder levels and optimize stock (i.e., optimize inventory levels, lead times, and product demand)
Drive operational improvement in warehouse process flows
Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely replenishment and minimize stockouts
Maintain the security of the parts room, warehouse, and related areas
Oversee the timely performance of all parts movements in and out of the system
Manage the timely reporting of any discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, broken or unidentified packages
Assist in managing surplus inventory disposition
Review and address all in-transit inventory daily
Prepare monthly inventory accuracy reports for management
Seek technical or supervisor expertise to resolve quality related issues
Understand the warehouse layout and how to locate or relocate materials when needed
Perform daily cycle and Annual Physical Inventory counts
Add value to the Supply Chain department by collaborating with work team to develop improved work processes
Act as supervisory direct report to assigned personnel (i.e., performance management, corrective action, training, defining daily priorities, creating work schedules, etc.)
Manage time and attendance for assigned personnel including timecard approval or paid time off
Assist in the hiring of assigned personnel (i.e., collaborate with Human Resources recruiters, perform interviews, select qualified talent, etc.)
Ensure the maintenance of good housekeeping practices in assigned areas (i.e., keep work areas organized, ensure walkways are free of clutter, and properly disposes of waste according to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies)
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives with all cross functional teams within the organization
Safely operate material handling equipment (i.e., hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, delivery vehicle, etc.)
Maintain compliance with HSE policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced inventory and warehousing role (minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity), preferred
Maintaining a clean, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, required
Must be man-handling equipment certified or willing to attend certification training, required
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must possess thorough understanding of calculating min/max levels for fast, medium, and slow-moving items
Strong leadership characteristics, can mentor, coach, track performance, and delegate duties to a team
Good verbal and written communication skill, can effectively interact with team members, managers, and personnel at all levels of the organization
Must be a team player who can work well with others to improve work processes
Must be able to work under pressure.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 Applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software
Must be physically able to safely operate a company vehicle on various road types and in all weather conditions
Must be physically able to safely climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Must be physically able to withstand exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, minimal noise, and vibration
