We are growing and seeking a Purchasing andInventory Control Specialist.
Summary: The Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist will manage all inventory in our warehouse. You will support the Purchasing Manager in all tasks concerning the procurement of materials for resale. You will generate and oversee purchase orders, dispatch them to vendors, ensure vendors receive and verify them for accuracy. You will maintain and verify inventory through cycle counts. You will be responsible for receiving product, problem solving with damaged and missing materials, and maintain compliance for tagging and bin locations.

Your Day-to-Day: to excel in this role, you will need to...
Monitor suggested purchases via the Agility SPO
Create appropriate purchase orders, both stock and non-stock
Monitor supplier costs. Verify PO costs match Supplier costs maintained in Agility
Monitor PO acknowledgements for accuracy
Maintain contact with vendors in order to keep delivery dates accurate in Agility
Monitor inventory levels and maintain high GMROI
Work with warehouse team to maintain inventory accuracy
Assist with annual inventory count and cycle counts
Receive material into Agility based on check in sheets provided by receiving team, verify accuracy in relation to packing lists
Assist with AP based on receiving/packing list information
Assist sales with questions/ changes to purchase orders
Perform other purchasing related duties as assigned.
Weekly purchasing orders past due report and purchasing orders not acknowledged report

Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, to include Excel, particularly Agility
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Superb attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Direct involvement in the building materials sector, with a focus on millwork preferred
Familiarity with inventory control management systems
Prior experience in millwork is beneficial but not obligatory
Ability to work unsupervised.
