Maintains the integrity of inventory records in Sage as directed, by transferring sales orders, building manufacturing orders, booking inventory adjustments, creating item numbers, deactivating item numbers, assisting in BOM updates and cost rolls, participating in record clean-up initiatives, etc.
Reviews work orders released by sales orders and converts to Manufacturing Order (M/O) in Sage
Reviews Production Status Report weekly and prepares M/O’s for Master and Component items in Sage
Prints and distributes M/O’s, and additional documents when necessary to support the manufacturing process
Uses MS Excel to export data from opera and import it in specified format into Sage to create MO’s
Coordinates with purchasing, productions, and project management to ensure accuracy and completeness of MO’s. Issues components and records labor to submitted M/O’s, receives in Sage, and closes M/O.
Investigates variances; and adjusts inventory records if necessary
Coordinates damaged and defective products, ensuring it is accounted for by adjusting inventory records and ensuring proper disposal at MRB
Works closely with Production Manager and Supervisors to ensure stock is maintained
Revises Bills of Materials (BOM) for updates, design changes, and corrections
Creates New BOMs when necessary when advised by manager
Processes Kanban Manufacturing Orders
Conducts weekly cycle count of Finished Goods and recommends and prepares appropriate adjustments
Researches inventory discrepancies and makes necessary corrections
Participates in and assists in preparing for Annual Physical Inventory counts
Participates in testing for process improvement and system integration initiatives
Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years in a production, warehouse, or inventory control role in manufacturing.
Experience working with inventory activities in an ERP system, Sage 300/Accpac Experience a plus
Ability to question completeness of a manufacturing order and tactfully get resolution
Inventory control experience with raw materials and WIP
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Attention to detail and the ability to follow-up
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Flexibility to work independently to resolve issues and problems or to work in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
