We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring proper stock levels to support efficient operations.
**Duties:**
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records.
- Identify discrepancies between physical inventory counts and system records and investigate root causes.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to reconcile inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining optimal stock levels to support production and customer orders.
- Utilize inventory management software/systems to track and update inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures, including inventory counting methodologies and inventory accuracy metrics.
- Conduct periodic reviews of inventory practices and procedures to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Provide training and support to warehouse staff on inventory control best practices and procedures.
- Generate reports and analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to inventory management and storage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with inventory management software/systems (e.g., ERP systems, WMS, barcode scanners).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and procedures.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
