Inventory Control Associate

Starting Rate: $17/hour.

Job Overview

Working under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Associate will be responsible for various duties supporting the planning, purchasing, shipping, and receiving teams within the operations organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure accuracy of items in stock such as Implementing and executing site cycle count program.
  • Record and maintain control of all inventory by processing inventory from floor, locating inventory in warehouse, accurately performing daily cycle counts and record maintenance.
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies, troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
  • Help Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
  • Track records of accuracy, purchase and return, and defective items to inform quality control decisions.
  • Help prepare, generate, and file financial reports and review with management periodically.
  • Serves as the backup to Shipping and Receiving functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel to various United locations within Leominster and Clinton.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in retail, wholesale warehousing or logistics
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a warehouse management system, IQMS preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS office applications).
  • Strong team player who remains positive and flexible amidst changing priorities
  • Physically able to lift between 1—35 lbs, sit climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be on your feet for 8 hours a day
  • Able to travel and have means of transportation.
  • Superior organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently; Spanish/English bilingual a plus
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • General understanding of supply chain, production, inventory management concepts
