Your role at Clorox:

The International Trade Operations Analyst (ITOA) is responsible for managing and ensuring the efficiency of trade operations. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and facilitating international trade activities in compliance with global trade regulations and will work closely with colleagues across the supply chain to help align Clorox trade policies with a changing international trade environment. The ITOA will ensure international trade operations are carried out in compliance with import, export and supply chain regulations and requirements and is responsible for overseeing and executing all Clorox daily trade compliance operations and providing guidance/direction to Clorox employees with all matters relating to international trade operations and transportation

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain daily US and Canada Import Operations for Clorox through direct communication with Customs brokers and other internal/external stakeholders as needed.
  • Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth and compliant international shipments.
  • Validate and coordinate import/export transactional requirements, ensure pre-transaction regulatory requirements are fulfilled, using a deep knowledge and understanding of trade operations practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, manufacturing processes, and familiarity with trade regulations.
  • Liaise with the Global Trade Compliance (GTC) department to develop a comprehensive communication plan that facilitates regular updates and exchanges between the ITO team and the GTC department. This plan would include scheduled meetings, reports, and a collaborative platform for sharing best practices and trade updates. The individual would also analyze trade data to identify trends and areas for improvement, ensuring that all GTC initiatives and strategies are supported by accurate and current operational insights.
  • Participate in training sessions on new regulations and compliance procedures, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adherence to global trade compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date database of export control classifications, license requirements, and tariff codes.
  • Collaborate with legal and global trade compliance teams to develop internal policies and procedures related to export controls and economic sanctions and other trade compliance regulations.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly post import audits for Clorox US and Canada imports.
  • Ensure accurate declaration of all customs data, including HS codes, country of origin, valuation, and other government agency related matters (eg EPA). Coordinate with Global Trade Compliance & Regulatory Departments to confirm correct data and convey this data to the Customs Broker.
  • Capture monthly metrics for US and Canada trade activities.
  • Maintain import and/or export compliance manuals.
  • Work with project management teams and other Partner Functions to set-up new supply chains to ensure correct execution of international trade operations.
  • Manage customs duties payments and customs broker account.
  • Maintain customs broker instructions/SOPs for each supply chain and imported good, including customs data
  • Escalate issues to Global Trade Compliance and Regulatory Departments for resolution.

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of experience in international trade or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of international trade compliance experience, preferred discipline in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business; or 5+ years of supply chain experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multitask effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to adjust quickly to new processes and procedures
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment
  • SAP system and systems integration experience (Preferred)

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900

–Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400

–Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
